Taxation of the Government Salary

Probably 1st time in history, the Salary of the Government Medical Officer was subjected to taxation. This issue was dragging for many months with no proper solution, with the intervention of the GMOA, we were able to convince the authorities on the nature of the service of the Government Medical officer and get the Extra duty allowance exempted from taxation.
