Dr. P.B. Jayasudara, Secretary – Ministry of Finance had asked the GMOA to launch a website to educate the general public regarding food safety. Further to that, Rev. Daranagama Kusaladhamma Thero requested GMOA to commence a Safe Food Centre at Sri Sambodhi Viharaya, Colombo – 07. Therefore GMOA has taken steps to launch www.healthysrilanka.lk website and to open a Safe Food Centre “Suwasetha Madura” at Sri Sambodhi Viharaya on 29th December 2013 with the participation of H.E. the President Mahinda Rajapaksa as the chief guest.
