GMOA launched an island wide trade union action today (11/05/2012) since 8.00am due to the government’s failures to implement Disturbance, Availability and Transport (DAT) allowance which was agreed way back in 2008.
The Castle Street Hospital for Women, De Soysa Maternity Hospital, Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children and Cancer Institute – Maharagama were excluded from the TUA.
In all the other hospitals, only the medical emergencies and ward admissions will be attended to.
