The Ministry of Health has requested the Police Department to take necessary steps to prevent misuse of doctors car pass by informing all Police stations on the new official car pass of doctors and to take legal action against unauthorised use of doctors car pass by the letter dated 20-09-2013.
Doctors car passes were issued by various institutions which led to misuse of it and using it to cover up illegal activities. Therefore to prevent this, GMOA reserved intellectual rights for Doctors car pass cross symbol and started to issue the unique car pass only to doctors registered under Section 29 of Medical Ordinance or following due consideration to other officers.
