Medical officers were subjected to much harassment in the past in relation to police complaints made by various individuals. Irrespective of the trivial nature of the complaint made, many working hours of medical officer were wasted at police station, degrading the dignity of this senior level public officer. Proper representation made at the IGP was successful resulting an important police circular which is another step in safe guarding medical officer’s dignity.(full circular)
