The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has launched a special welfare initiative titled “Healers for Healers” to extend support to GMOA members who have suffered significant property damage and physical losses due to the recent Ditwah natural disaster.

Relevant data were collected through a Google Form, based on which the affected members’ losses have been identified, verified, and categorized to ensure transparent and equitable assistance.

As at 23rd December, the total amount of donations received for this project stands at Rs. 1,002,700, which has been assessed as insufficient to meet the urgent needs of the affected members.

In view of this, the General Committee (GC) of GMOA has decided to further strengthen this relief effort by contributing Rs. 3,000 from each member’s salary, to be facilitated through the respective Directors of Hospitals.

GMOA sincerely appreciates the solidarity and collective responsibility shown by its membership during this difficult time and reaffirms its commitment to stand by colleagues in need.
